Hi! my name is Reese Kubricki (she/her). I am a Junior majoring in Communications and digital studies! I have always wanted to go to Mary Washington since middle school (shocking right?!) and wanted to do digital media, so I guess that is how I am here. Julia is a UMW senior majoring in Communication & Digital Studies and Spanish. Outside the classroom, you can find her in Goolrick, swimming at the pool with the UMW swim team, or at HCC 430, working as a writing consultant. Bryson Hedges (He/Him) is a Communications and Digital Studies major at the University of Mary Washington. Bryson enjoys photography, listening to music, and sports. He’s currently the secretary of the Men’s Club Volleyball team and is a UMW Valorant Esports team member.
Maddie Ice
Maddie is a senior at UMW, majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Digital Studies. She is an accomplished writer and has experience in social media management. Last year she managed the social media accounts for the Rappahannock Review. Her writings have been published in local newspapers and in various creative journals. While not in school, Maddie lives in Charlottesville with her fiancee and plants.

Hey, I’m Noah. I’m a Studio Arts major who’s on his second-to-last semester on UMW. I’ve always wanted to do videos for the internet, so I am looking forward to trying my hand at helping put on a live internet show, even if I’m nervous about performing or writing for one lol. But I’m willing to try it! Won’t know how I’ll feel performing or writing for a show if I never actually do it.

Jenell is currently a Junior at UMW, and majors in Studio Art with a minor in Digital Studies. Their favorite art mediums are traditional drawing and video art. Outside of class, Jenell likes binge-watching shows, playing games with friends, and discovering new hobbies and interests.

Mariah Misch
I am a Business Administration major with a minor in Digital Studies, which is how you will find me here! This is my last semester and I am excited. Currently, I work at a CPA office as a bookkeeper. I’ve been doing that for 4 years. I moved up here from the village of Kinnakeet on Hatteras Island, NC. Let’s see… What else can I tell you all about me? Well, a couple hobbies of mine are writing and creating languages. I write and develop a fantasy role-play on a forum and I drag my friends and family into trying to learn my constructive language. The success of that is currently a work-in-progress. There is hope for one! But, don’t get me started on my conlang. I can talk a long time on that!

Cartland Berge
Cartland has worked at the University of Mary Washington since 2014, and currently serves as the Director of UMW’s Digital Knowledge Center. He has been producing Are We Live? since 2019. Before that, he spent ten years working in theater as an electrician and lighting designer in NYC, Baltimore, and Washington DC. He is the author of “The Bear and the Cub,” a three-act play telling the story of the first English play performed in the English colonies in 1665. Cartland holds a BFA in Theater Design and Technology from UNC Greensboro, and an MA in Arts Management from George Mason University. He has a 13 year old daughter who enjoys art and murder.
